Made in the U.S.A. Weighted Steel Fishing Line from Blood Run Fishing is a new way of deep water trolling to get down to fish in full stealth mode.
With the same diameter as 45LB Copper Trolling Wire and a comparable sink rate, it adds a new dimension to your deep water trolling arsenal.
Connections can be made to backing line and leader line utilizing our Weighted Steel Termination Kit.
Weighted Steel Fishing Line can be deployed off side planers similar to Leadcore and Copper Trolling Wire, but should not be mixed into an all copper or leadcore spread as the dive curve is not the same.

What does "Repairable" mean in the wire comparison chart?
Tangles can and will happen when running large spreads in traffic or heavy current. When lines get tangled together, you can untangle them, but sometimes the wire is damaged. Repairable lines (copper) damaged areas can be cut out and spliced easily back together by haywire twisting the tag ends together. Unrepairable lines (leadcore and weighted steel) cannot, and you must re-spool if the line is damaged.
What's the advantage of running fishing wire while trolling?
Whether its Copper, Leadcore or Weighted Steel...these are stealthy long lines that enhance your trolling spread allowing you to run more rods and any depth.
Can your fishing wire be used in Saltwater?
Yes they all can. Our copper wire is electro-plated for corrosion resistance, Leadcore is a non corrosive trolling line, and Weighted Steel is marine grade stainless.
