The Skein Cane fishing rod from Blood Run Fishing is the de facto standard centerpin/float and pier/surf fishing rod available to both expert and entry level anglers.
This spinning or centerpin rod can handle steelhead, salmon and more with its proven woven graphite blank and powerful butt section for moving fish in fast water. Sensitive tip for fishing light leaders down to 6lb for stealthy presentations, the super lightweight design is easy to pack in as both a boat and shore rod.
In addition to being a fantastic float fishing rod, it is an exceptional surf and pier fishing rod for light bite species where subtle bite detection is necessary. The sensitive tip detects bait pickups off the bottom by coho, drum, and pompano while fishing from a pier or the surf.
It's 13' length elevates the line off the water when using a surf fishing rod holder, and the slightest touch of the bait can be detected by the soft tip. The 10" rear grip fits perfectly in any surf or pier rod holder, and spinning reels up to 4000 series size can be mounted on the rod.
Spare replacement sections available for purchase at any time. Section replacements for Kenai Edition do not fit Gen 1 Edition rods. Please visit the Gen 1 replacement section page.
