Blood Run's round-shaped 30lb "Super Slick" Sea Flee line combines slick nylon resins into the monofilament construction to resist "hangers on" in heavy spiny water flea conditions.
Increased diameter and abrasion resistance keep it tight in your release until show time.

The goal is to minimize flea collection on your line and to allow for easier removal of fleas that do collect on the line. There are several different types of Spiny Water Fleas, of varying sizes and hook type, this will impact the effectiveness of this line depending on conditions.
The super slick coating on this line will eventually wear off due to the acid secreated by the spiny water fleas as they attempt to remain attached to the line. The line must be periodically stripped so that fresh “shiny” line is deployed into the water in order to maximize its effectiveness. Large diameter on its own will not stop fleas, the slick coating is just as if not more important.
**Note** When using in a Black's style release, use at least 10 wraps to keep the line from slipping through the release. This line is slick! Also, when spooling up this line onto your reel, spool up under heavy tension in order to pack the line down onto the reel properly. Loose tension will cause under wrapping.

What is so special about your Tournament Mono?
As the name implies, we designed it initially for tournament fishing, as standard old Big Game, Suffix and even Ande failed us too many times. Perfectly fine lines, until you get them near wire, then they suck. We fish the Great Lakes, and we have thousands of feet of downrigger cable, wire divers, and copper line deployed at any time. You need a tough abrasion resistant mono in those conditions. Our Tournament Mono is infused with abrasion resistant resins and coated with fluorocarbon for even more abrasion resistance.
Is this line any different from your Sea Flee fishing monofilament?
Completely different. Different resins, different diameter, different breaking strength, different coating. It's specific for its intended purpose, as is Sea Flee.
Can I run this as leader material on long lines or divers?
Yes, you can. Is it as good and as durable as our Fluorocarbon Leader XL for those applications? No. Will it work fine for your average recreational troller? Sure, it will work just fine.
Can I run this on mono flatline board rods or dipsy divers?
Absolutely. While we have migrated to Bloodline braid with a short fluoro leader for our "bird rods", alot of guys still prefer straight mono...and this is perfect for that. If you still run mono divers up high in spring for kings or cohos, yes this will work just fine.
